Paramagnetic NMR

Since 2002, and my post-doc with F.H. Köhler, I have been interested in the use of NMR for studying magnetic molecules and materials.

Over the years, we have seen how useful NMR can be for:

• getting highly accurate local structural information in paramagnetic materials such as Prussian Blue Analogues

• for investigating very fundamental aspects of magnetism: the unpaired electron extension mechanism in paramagnetic species

• for investigating spin-crossover in solution

• for investigating chemical equilibria and the stability of paramagnetic species in solution
